“The gratitude that parents have expressed to me here, is deeply moving in a way that is almost impossible to communicate.”
“I wish there was a way for more people to see and experience what it is like when the transformation in a child’s mind takes place right before your eyes. Its one thing when you spend years at a desk, in a classroom, at a university, learning about concepts and philosophies; but it becomes another thing entirely when you are immersed in a community and a family and become vested in their wellbeing. I was born in Iran, obtained my Bachelors in Germany, my Masters in Netherlands, and am still seeing things for the first time here in Morocco. Seeing parents who could not even define Autism prior to their arrival here, leave after the program smiling wide and sharing with fellow parents the pride in their child’s growth. The gratitude that parents have expressed to me here, is deeply moving in a way that is almost impossible to communicate.”
